Isaiah 27:1 In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword
shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked
serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.

Jeremiah 25:31 A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for the LORD
hath a controversy with the nations, he will plead with all flesh; he will give
them that are wicked to the sword, saith the LORD.

Deuteronomy 32:41 If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand
take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward
them that hate me.

|
When you stop to consider that the Lord God will let no unforgiven evil or
evil doer go unpunished it should cause your heart to cry out, OH LORD HAVE
MERCY! If it were not for the grace and mercy of God it would be YOU that would
be at the receiving end of the Almighty blade. The devil (that Leviathan serpent
of old) DESERVES to be slaughtered for he has slaughtered MILLIONS. And the wicked
of the earth who hold no godly sorrow, remorse, or repentance in their hearts
for filling the earth with violence, pain and suffering SHOULD be sent to the
fires of damnation AFTER the Lord has slain them from off the earth. BUT THE
MEEK SHOULD INHERIT THE EARTH! Love your enemies enough to cry out for mercy
upon them EVEN AS YOU WAGE SPIRITUAL WARFARE AGAINST THE PRINCIPALITIES THAT USE
THEM!

Judges 7:18 When I blow with a trumpet, I and all that are with me, then blow
ye the trumpets also on every side of all the camp, and say, The sword of the
LORD, and of Gideon.

|
Ephesians 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of
the Spirit, which is the word of God:)

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and
sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul
and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and
intents of the heart.

|
|
THE ONLY QUESTION LEFT IS: ARE YOU USING YOUR SWORD DAILY? Do you have a
battle cry? Have you submitted to being in the army of God? Is Christ your
Gideon commander, and the word of God your OFFENSIVE weapon? If we stand on the
side of the Lord, then the sword HE SWINGS will never, never, never, EVER strike
us down. |

A man came to the Master one day pleading for the Him to come and rescue
his son from the clutches of the demons. Above the crowd he shouted,
"Teacher, I beg of you to look at the son (huion) of me, BECAUSE
he is the only one born (monogenees) to me!"[1] He had already
brought him to the ministers of Christ to be delivered and when they did not
succeed his desperation drove him to the Christ for help. He was not driven
to him RELIGIOUSLY because He was the healer, but rather because HE DID NOT
WANT TO LOOSE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON. His son was irreplaceable, unique, and
therefore held a special place in his heart! He was his monogenees huion;
only-begotten son. He was the only heir who could succeed him and tend to
his family. If his son died there very likely might not be another one to
replace him!

|
When Jesus Christ was born of the Father, The Holy Spirit of God, the
Scriptures show that among the many terms the Spirit used to describe Him
was monogenees! The Apostle John, inspired by the Spirit of God,
says, "By this was manifested the love of the God in us, BECAUSE the
son (huion) of Him, the only-begotten (monogenees), God has
sent into the world, in order that, we might live through Him."[2]
Jesus Christ is God’s monogenees! How important such a son was to
the Father! How precious in His sight he was that He should declare for all
to hear, "This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased."[3]
There was never one born like him before him, and there would never be one
born like him after Him! One son, one access to the Father.

|
And whereas one father cried in desperation, ‘Please save my son’s
life!’ because he was monogenees, THE FATHER willingly did what
Abraham had done centuries before and "offered up the monogenees"
[4] to a sacrificial death. God allowed the devil, demons, and sinners to
KILL His monogenees FOR US!!! Let it never be forgotten that there is
GOOD reason why Christ sits at the right hand of the Father forever; and
that, whether we can fully grasp it or not, God has called Jesus monogenees
para patros (only-begotten of Father)[5], ton huion ton
monogenee (the son the only-begotten) [6], and also monogenees theos
(only-begotten God).[7] The One that we serve, we worship, and we adore
RULES ON THE THRONE FOREVER because He is uniquely God-born, God borne and
God-worthy! [8]

The following is a short two-part repeating operatic chorus that the Lord
dropped into my heart this week [the first part is a declaration, the second
part an affirmation and reply]:

|
The wages of sin is DEATH, they say,
|
|
The wages of SIN is death, they say,
|
|
The WAGES of sin is death, they say,
|
|
And the Lord doesn’t love you ANY more!
|
|
|
|
BUT! The gift of God is ETERNAL life,
|
|
Oh! The gift of God is eternal LIFE,
|
|
Yes! The GIFT of God is eternal life,
|
|
And my sins don’t matter any more….
|
|
I have heard this short melody in my heart for 5 days straight, and so
far it has just not gone away. The comfort that flows into my soul when I
hear it is like soothing oil being poured over an open wound. Why? Because,
there is PEACE in knowing your true state.
|
|
Firstly, as Christians we live under the Lord’s blessing and umbrella.
Jesus died, Jesus took care of all our burdens, and Jesus paid THE FULL
PRICE for sins -- past and present and future. The barrier between HUMANITY
and DEITY has been erased; especially, to all that are in Christ. Whereas,
we could only look forward to judgement from a righteous God who had been
offended, we are now free to RUN into the arms of a rejoicing Father who is
DESIRING TO EMBRACE US.

|
Yet, along the road, on either side, are the voices of the people of the
world – who can not understand a LOVING God – and the voices of the
religious who cannot fathom the DEPTHS of the mercy and the forgiveness of a
wonderful Savior. The opponents (of GRACE) can only sing one part of the
Scripture; the first part of this song. They see cause, and they see effect,
but they cannot see THE LIFEBOAT. Yes we jumped, fell, or were pushed into
the tumultuous waves of the ocean of sin and therefore seem doomed to drown;
but God’s Son has come that we might sing a new song ABOARD HIS HEAVENLY
YACHT!

The devil never brings up your sins unless he is trying to divide you
from the Love of God. The self-righteous never bring up your sins unless
they are trying to bring vengeance (which is God’s responsibility) in the
name of justice. The world never brings up sins except to use it as a tool
of manipulation or intimidation; control is the objective.
|
|
BUT GOD says, over and over, I want to WASH IT, and to SEPARATE IT, and
TO FORGET IT, and to BURY IT, and to FORGIVE IT. Hereby we can tell the
spirit of CHRIST from the spirits of Anti-Christ; GOD works to RESTORE but
SATAN accuses and JUDGES. Hear God! Sing a new song! Sing the song of the
REDEEMED.
