Ezekiel 36:25-27
|
25
Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye
shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I
cleanse you. 26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new
spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out
of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27 And I
will put my spirit within you, ... (KJV)

Have you ever stopped to consider the purity of God? He describes Himself
as water in a number of different verses in the Scriptures. Water is life
giving. Water cleanses. Water is essential to human existence. Water
represents purity too.
|
God is no ordinary water. Neither is He stale water, or dirty water, or
poisoned water, or diseased water. God is HOLY water. He is crystal clear
with no impurity within Him. He is fresh water. He is clean water.
|
So when He chooses to manifest, He cannot be anything but THE BEST WATER
YOU HAVE EVER DRUNK! Are you thirsty? He said that if you are THIRSTY that
He would give you drink. Do you need RIVERS OF LIVING WATER; then you must
draw nigh to the stream which flows out of His side. Do you need refreshing?
Then come boldly to the throne of grace, and receive from the cup in His
hand!

And water is what we are mostly composed of! Do you think that is a
coincidence? He designed us after His likeness. He could not create us to be
100% identical to Him, so He created us as a living representative of
Himself. You were created 90% WATER and a handful of minerals. And that is
what your life is supposed to be too; 90% HIM and 10% you.
|
Let go of yourself and drink from His fountain. His water is not bitter,
but SWEET! Trade that dirty stream of carnal reasoning for the pure water of
the Word which is able to cleanse your soul. IMMERSE yourself in THE HOLY
SPIRIT -- and swim!

WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH -- THE TOUGH GET GOD!
|
It is an unfortunate fact of life that the flesh cannot stand to show
itself as weak, needy, fragile, and the cause of all failures. The flesh
wants to pretend that it is tough, strong, in control, mighty, confident,
and superior to all forces that can oppose it. The flesh believes that it is
sovereign; it is the INDOMITABLE SPIRIT.
|
And yet, when push comes to shove and true evil raises it’s vicious and
ugly head, the flesh finds that it is quickly subjugated and turned into the
willing slave of the demonic master. Sin seems to become so easy to yield
and surrender to. Demons which taunt the flesh seem to so easily cause the
flesh to cower in a corner. Sickness and stress seem to turn it into a
quivering immature child who with no strength or stamina. We pray for
deliverance from the forces that assail us, but then we once again call upon
the aid of the flesh to fight our battles.

We push with the will, and pull with the emotions in a tug of war with
the conqueror of our soul. We cry out in the night, and make promises in the
morning and our flesh promises us that WE CAN HANDLE THIS! But it never
seems to last. It is the way of things -- things in the natural that is!
|
"I can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens me"
the Bible says. "With out me ye can do nothing" Jesus says.
"This is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith"
John says.
|
But the flesh says, "We just need to try harder. Tomorrow will be
better."
|
You see, the idea of ‘when the going gets tough the tough just keep
going’ is a concept straight from the depths of flesh. It would be better
to say ‘the tough will NOT QUIT’ than to say ‘just keep going’. In
fact, it would even be better to agree with the Spirit and simply say:
"When the going gets tough, I’m gonna get my Daddy, you bully!"
We are more than conquerors through Him that loves us!

Ok, so what are you going to do today? Are you going to LOOK UP or are
you going look down? Before you decide, here are a few things that you might
consider.
|
God is up. Heaven is up. Angels are up. The saints that have passed on
before us are up. And all the blessings of God come DOWN from the Father of
lights; which means all the blessings are up. The Sun shines from ABOVE.
Your newly begotten spirit was born ‘anothen’ (which means ‘from above’).
When Christ returns, He will be coming from above. When He takes you home
with Him, He will be taking you UP to where He dwells.
|
Now let us consider what ‘down’ represents Scripturally. The lower
parts of the Earth is where the dead go. Earthly, sensual, and devilish
wisdom are said to be from below. The beast of the world system ascends from
below out of the bottomless pit and comes to kill Christians. Demons also
are said to come from places under the earth. In the Psalms is says that God
brings the wicked down to the pit of destruction. And the Lake of fire also
is a place that one is thrown INTO; and hence one would sink therein.
|
Here’s the point. There are only two roads in life; and one of them is
definitely not a plateau. And the soul taking the journey must decide in
advance where it will place it’s heart. As iron is drawn to a magnet, the
human soul is drawn into the direction which the heart is focused on. If the
heart is Heavenward, then Heaven shall be it’s ultimate resting place. If
the emotions are facing downward, then the final abiding place shall be in
the depths of hell. Living the Christian LIFE is based on:
|
Luke 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look
up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
|
Colossians 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on
things on the earth.
|
Live your life looking up, having your chin up, and your heart up!
|
